Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season delivered historic performances and dramatic finishes.

The week began Thursday night, when the Bills held off the Dolphins to stay undefeated. Sunday’s early slate brought chaos, including the Browns handing the Packers their first loss of the season on a walk-off field goal.

Special teams dominated headlines, as five kicks were blocked in a single day—the first time since September 17, 2006. Both the Rams-Eagles and Buccaneers-Jets games saw blocked field goals returned for touchdowns. The Eagles’ comeback win was capped by Jordan Davis—at 336 pounds—the heaviest player in NFL history to return a blocked kick 50+ yards for a touchdown. In New York, the Jets couldn’t hang on, as the Buccaneers marched downfield for a game-winning field goal.

The late window carried more drama: the 49ers and Chargers both won on time-expiring field goals, while the Seahawks and Bears rolled to dominant win over the Saints and Cowboys. On Sunday night, the Chiefs earned their first win of the season, dropping the struggling Giants to 0–3. The week wrapped up Monday with the Lions making a statement win on the road against the Ravens.
