2025 NFL Week 8 Recap

Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season kicked off Thursday night in Los Angeles, where the Chargers cruised past the Minnesota Vikings to open the week with a convincing win.

In Sunday’s early window, the AFC East dominated. The Jets secured their first victory of the season with a late rally to beat the Cincinnati Bengals, while the Bills, Dolphins, and Patriots all came out on top. Buffalo rolled to a 40-9 blowout win over the Carolina Panthers behind a dominant performance from running back James Cook III, who rushed for 216 yards through three quarters — the most by any NFL player in a game since 2018.

The Philadelphia Eagles handed the New York Giants another loss, while rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a season-ending leg injury. The Baltimore Ravens earned their second win of the season with a victory over the Chicago Bears.

In the late window, the Denver Broncos jumped out to an early lead over the Dallas Cowboys and never looked back in a 44-24 win. Divisional match-ups wrapped up the afternoon slate, with the Indianapolis Colts improving to 7-1 on the season with a win over the Tennessee Titans, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers forced four turnovers to shut down the New Orleans Saints in a strong defensive showing.

Sunday night’s matchup saw Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers fall to the quarterback’s former team, the Green Bay Packers.

Week 8 concluded on Monday night as the Kansas City Chiefs earned a win over the Washington Commanders.
