Andy Murray’s Last Wimbledon

July 5, 2024

Andy Murray was honored on Wimbledon’s Centre Court with a tribute ceremony as an emotional farewell to Wimbledon following a loss with his brother Jamie in the men’s doubles.

Murray went pro in 2005 and has won 46 singles titles, that included 3 Grand Slams (Wimbledon 2013, 2016 and US Open (2012), 14 Masters 1000 titles, and 2 Olympic Gold Medals (2012 and 2016). Having multiple hip surgeries in 2017 and 2019 almost forced his career then, but he’s been able to push through over the years and plans to retire on his own terms later this year after the Paris Olympics later this month.

Also, he’s been using a Yonex racket for the last few months switching from the Head Radical Series that he was using for most of his career. I started using the Head Radical because of Andy Murray, and I might have to make the switch to Yonex now.

Andy Murray is a sporting legend and has been a huge inspiration of mine throughout the years keeping up with his career.
