Team USA Completely Dominates Serbia to Start the Olympics (Sports)

Team USA was undefeated in their exhibition games leading up to the Olympics, but they didn’t really play well. They looked sloppy, had turnover issues, and their offense got dry at random points during each of those games.

Going into today’s first Olympic game against a medal caliber team in Serbia, people had their doubts on Team USA on if they would be able to flip their play and dominate the floor as soon as the Games started.

Team USA did end up flipping the switch and completely dominated Serbia winning 110-84 to start this Olympic run. Kevin Durant made his return to the line up, and was unstoppable in the first half going a perfect 8-8 from the field.

LeBron James also dominated the game on both ends of the floor, and had a near triple-double with 21 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. It’s insane that he’s still playing at this level as a 39-year old, and it doesn’t look like he’s slowing down anytime soon.

Let’s see if Team USA can build off this win, but this first game is a strong statement for the team. They play South Sudan in a rematch from their exhibition game next, so let’s see if they can keep the momentum going with this first Olympic win.
