The Final Four of the 2025 Men’s NCAA Basketball Championship has wrapped up, setting up a Championship matchup between Florida and Houston on April 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
(No. 1) Florida def. (No. 1) Auburn 79-73
Florida advances to the national championship game with a 79–73 win over Auburn, behind a dominant performance by Walter Clayton Jr., who scored 34 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including five three-pointers, along with four rebounds and two assists.
Auburn led by eight at halftime, but Florida opened the second half on a 13–3 run, including an 11–0 burst in just over three minutes, to seize momentum. Clayton later went on a personal 8–3 run to help Florida regain control and secure the lead for good. The Gators played strong defense down the stretch, holding Auburn to just one field goal over the final four minutes of the game.
This marks Florida’s first national championship appearance since 2007, when the Gators won their second straight title. They’ll now face Houston on April 7 for a shot at the program’s third national championship.

(No. 1) Houston def. (No. 1) Duke 70-67
Houston advances to the NCAA Championship game after a dramatic 70–67 comeback win over Duke.
The Cougars erased a 14-point deficit, holding Duke to just one made field goal over the final 10:31 of the game. Houston finished the game on a 9–0 run in the last 1:14 to upset the Blue Devils and complete one of the tournament’s biggest comebacks. Duke blows a 59–45 lead and suffered an all-time collapse despite a strong performance from freshman phenom Cooper Flagg, who finished with 27 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and two steals.
L.J. Cryer led the way for Houston with 26 points and five rebounds, shooting 8-of-14 from the field and an impressive 6-of-9 from three. The Cougars’ defense was the difference, holding Duke to just 39.6% shooting from the field and limiting them to under 70 points for only the fourth time in 39 games.
Houston reaches the national title game for the first time since 1984 and will look to win the program’s first-ever NCAA championship when they face Florida on April 7.
