September 1, 2024

USC (No.23) wraps up week 1 of college football with a 27 to 20 win over LSU (No. 13). This was USC’s first official game in the Big Ten, and their level of play boosts their chances of making the new 12-team College Football Playoff. They have a realistic shot at making the playoffs with their schedule, and if they can come out of Ann Arbor with a win in a couple weeks, the rest of their season really opens up.

Miller Moss has been on the USC team since 2021, and played behind Caleb Williams during the last two seasons. He finally got his chance to start today, and showed out, finishing the game 27-36 for 378 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown came at the end of the game when USC got the ball back with 1:47 left on the clock in a tied game. Moss led USC down the field with a game winning drive that covered 75 yards in eight plays in 1:39, and ended with the game winning touchdown.

Kyron Hudson already has the catch of the year in week 1
