Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season kicked off Thursday night with the Packers earning an impressive win over the Commanders.
In the early Sunday slate, the Bills and Ravens bounced back strong from their Week 1 thriller, dominating the Jets and Browns, respectively. The Cowboys and Giants played the first overtime game of the season, with Dallas getting the win on a Brandon Aubrey field goal.
The late window brought more drama. The Colts got a second chance at a game-winning field goal against the Broncos after a penalty and converted for the win. The Eagles won their Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Chiefs. Meanwhile, the Bengals suffered a crushing blow as star quarterback Joe Burrow went down with a turf toe injury in the second quarter of their win over the Jaguars after being sacked by Arik Armstead. Burrow will require surgery and is expected to miss at least three months.
The week wrapped up with a Monday Night Football doubleheader. Baker Mayfield once again came through in the clutch, leading the Buccaneers to a late-game win over the Texans and a 2-0 start. In the second game, Justin Herbert led the Chargers past the Raiders to also improve to 2-0.
