Jordan Brand has brought back one of its most iconic Air Jordan 13 colorways earlier this month, marking the long awaited return of the original “Chicago” colorway, also known as “True Red” or “Cherry.” The release brings back a classic colorway that has remained one of the most recognizable and celebrated designs in the Air Jordan 13 lineup.
Last released in 2017, the colorway originally debuted in 1998 during Michael Jordan’s final season with the Chicago Bulls. It was worn on court throughout his pursuit of a sixth and final NBA championship, cementing the sneaker’s place in basketball and sneaker history. The design features a clean white leather upper paired with vibrant True Red suede overlays, while black accents on the tongue, liner, and outsole provide contrast and balance.
The red suede wrapping the mudguard and heel stands out against the tumbled white leather, while signature elements such as the holographic ankle jewel and panther inspired outsole preserve the silhouette’s identity.
Its return is a major highlight of Jordan Brand’s Spring 2026 lineup and reflects the brand’s continued focus on reintroducing classic colorways to a new generation. With faithful materials, original color blocking, and a true to form execution, this retro release is positioned to resonate with both longtime collectors and first time fans.
