The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Reference 25594 was a version of the Royal Oak that featured day, date, and moonphase complications. The watch was introduced in the early 1980s and produced until the late 1990s. The original Royal Oak was a time-only watch and became extremely popular, leading AP to add additional complications to the Royal Oak to capitalize on its success and popularity.
The dial of the Day-Date Moonphase is very uniform, with traditional pointer-style sub-registers for the day and date, and a moonphase complication at the 6 o’clock position.
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Day-Date Moonphase (Ref. 25594) can be found on the secondary market, starting around the $30,000 range.
