The Royal Oak is one of the most iconic and influential watches designed by Gérald Genta. The watch was first introduced in the early 1970s and remains in production today, thanks to the Royal Oak’s unique blend of luxury and sport.

The main design feature of the Royal Oak is the Octagon shaped bezel that makes the watch instantly recognizable. The bezel is also secured with eight hexagonal screws that are all symmetrical with the watch. The watch also comes in wide arrange of different materials with the watch being made of materials such as stainless steel, gold, platinum, titanium, and ceramic. The watch also has an expansive line with different features from chronographs, perpetual calendars, tourbillons, and minute repeaters.

The Royal Oak was the first luxury watch that was made of steel, and was even priced higher than watches made of precious metals at the time. To most people the most popular and classic version of the Royal Oak to this day is the “Jumbo Extra-Thin” model. The model has a 39mm stainless steel case and has a thin 8.1mm case thickness. The modern Royal Oak “Jumbo” starts at a retail price of $36,000.
