Awake NY and Jordan Brand are expanding their partnership beyond the Air Ship, with their next collaboration reimagining two versions of the iconic Air Jordan 5. Designed by Angelo Baque and his Awake NY team, the sneakers will debut as part of Awake’s Spring 2025 collection and officially release on August 17th.
The Awake x Air Jordan 5 takes inspiration from the original “Fire Red” colorway but introduces bold updates, including a pink leather upper in place of white. Distinctive Awake NY details elevate the design, such as an “A” logo integrated into the mesh side panels, “NY” embroidery on the heel, and unique logo placements on the tongue. Constructed from premium leather, the sneakers will release in two colorways: “Arctic Pink” and “Black/Racer Blue.” Additional touches include co-branding on the reflective tongue, translucent outsole, and a heel detail that swaps Michael Jordan’s signature “23” for “NY.”
Alongside the sneakers, the collaboration includes a full apparel collection. Pieces range from thermals and washed denim to hoodies, t-shirts, and beanies, all styled to complement the aesthetic of the sneakers.
Awake NY has confirmed release details for both pairs. The “Arctic Pink” Air Jordan 5 will be exclusive to Awake NY, limited to 7,000 pairs, and available via raffle both in-store and online on August 17. The “Black/Racer Blue” colorway will be limited to 13,000 pairs, releasing through Awake NY on August 17 before receiving a wider release on August 30 via Nike SNKRS and select Nike retailers. Both versions are priced at $230. Meanwhile, the apparel collection will launch in-store and online on August 18, rounding out one of Awake NY’s most ambitious Jordan Brand collaborations to date.
