Two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell and the Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a 5-year, $182 million contract. The deal includes a $52 million signing bonus and some deferred money, according to the Los Angeles Times. While the Dodgers have not yet confirmed the signing, Snell posted a photo of himself in a Dodgers uniform on Instagram, suggesting the official announcement is pending a physical.
Snell opted out of the final year of the two-year, $62 million contract he signed last offseason with the San Francisco Giants. He performed well in 2024, finishing the season with a 3.12 ERA and 145 strikeouts in 20 starts over 104 innings for the Giants. In 2023, Snell won his second career Cy Young Award and led MLB with a 2.25 ERA, recording 234 strikeouts over 180 innings while playing for the San Diego Padres.
