Lonzo Ball Plays First NBA Game Since 2022 (Sports)

October 24, 2024

Lonzo Ball hasn’t played a game on the NBA floor since January 14th, 2022 because of a torn meniscus and a serious knee injury. Most NBA players have been able to overcome the injury, but he faced multiple setbacks during the recovery process and had to miss the next two and a half NBA seasons.

Ball made his return to the court in the Chicago Bulls’ season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans would end up winning 123 to 111, but Ball looked like his old self. Ball played 13 minutes and 39 seconds off the bench and finished the game with 5 points, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds. Ball certainly doesn’t look to be at 100% yet and is on a minutes restriction to ease his way back into NBA level competition after over 1,000 days of not playing NBA basketball.
