Los Angeles Dodgers to Move Mookie Betts to Infield in 2025 (Sports)
November 7, 2024
Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes mentioned earlier this week that eight-time All-Star Mookie Betts is most likely moving back to the infield playing second base or shortstop for the Dodgers in 2025.
Betts started the 2024 season playing shortstop for the Dodgers after playing playing second base part time in 2023. Betts’ traditional spot is in right field, and he played the rest of the 2024 season in right field after recovering from a broken hand in August.
Betts has six career Gold Gloves in right field, and is known to be a very selfless and adaptable player. The toll on the his body won’t be as harsh playing in the infield, and he has had success playing in the infield in the past.
