The 5712 is a 40mm stainless steel Nautilus that includes a moon phase indicator, power reserve display, date function, and small seconds sub-dial. These complications are arranged asymmetrically on the dial, giving the watch a distinctive and unconventional look that sets it apart from other Nautilus models.
While all 5712 references share the same dimensions and functionality, they have been produced in various materials and configurations. The model debuted in three variations: stainless steel (ref. 5712/1A-001), rose gold (ref. 5712R-001), and white gold (ref. 5712G-001). Most versions feature the classic Nautilus integrated bracelet, but the 5712 was also the first Nautilus model to introduce options on an integrated leather strap.
In 2024, Patek Philippe discontinued the stainless steel Nautilus Moon Phase (ref. 5712/1A-001), leaving the rose gold reference 5712/1R-001 as the only version currently in production. As of today, the retail price for the 5712/1R is $85,900 and it trades on the secondary market between the $200,000 and $220,000 range.
