(No. 1) Carlos Alcaraz def. Jiri Lehecka 7-5, 6-7 (5), 6-2
Top-seeded Carlos Alcaraz claims his fifth title of the season on Sunday, defeating Jiri Lehecka in three sets at the HSBC Championships at Queen’s Club in London. The win marks Alcaraz’s second title at Queen’s Club, adding to his title in 2023.
Alcaraz broke Lehecka’s serve at 5-5 in the opening set and held to take the early lead. Lehecka responded well, staying composed and edging out a tight second-set tiebreak to force a decider.
In the final set, Alcaraz pulled away with a dominant stretch, racing out to a 4-1 lead as Lehecka’s level began to dip. The Spaniard would break again to seal the match and secure his 21st career title. Alcaraz did not face a single break point and fired 18 aces in the match.
With the win, Alcaraz becomes just the fifth active player to win four or more grass-court titles, joining Novak Djokovic (8), Matteo Berrettini (4), Taylor Fritz (4), and Nicolas Mahut (4).
Now the two-time defending Wimbledon champion, Alcaraz heads into the Grand Slam with an 18-match winning streak—the longest of his career. He holds a 24-3 career record on grass and enters Wimbledon with significant momentum.
