Rafael Nadal Announces His Retirement From Tennis (Sports)

October 10, 2024

Tennis legend Rafael Nadal announced his retirement earlier today on his social media accounts saying that his final tournament will be at this year’s Davis Cup, where he’ll represent his home country of Spain in November.

The 38-year old is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, winning 22 Grand Slam titles over the course of a 23-year playing career. 14 of those Grand Slam titles were won at the French Open in Paris where he had a 112-4 career record at the tournament. The “King of Clay’s” dominance at Roland Garros was insane to watch and his record at the tournament is one of the craziest stats in sports history.

He also won the US Open 4 times and the Australian Open and Wimbledon twice. Outside of Grand Slams he won 36 Masters 1000 titles, singles and doubles Olympic gold medals, and helped lead Spain to 5 Davis Cup titles.

Rafael Nadal is a sports legend!
