Reilly Opelka defeated Mpetshi Perricard 6-3, 7-6(4) to reach his first ATP Tour final since 2022. Opelka has missed most of the last two seasons due to wrist and hip injuries but appears to be in better form in recent weeks. This marks the American’s 100th tour-level win and his 17th tour-level final. He will be chasing his 5th career ATP Tour title when he faces Jiri Lehecka in the title match at the Brisbane Open.
With the semi-final win, Opelka re-entered the Top 200 in the ATP rankings and earned his 8th career top-10 victory by defeating Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals.
