Richard Mille’s RM 67-02 was introduced in 2017 as a sportier evolution of their RM 67-01 Extra Flat, which debuted in 2016. Weighing only 32 grams, the RM 67-02 is one of Richard Mille’s lightest automatic watches, designed in collaboration with elite athletes for high-performance wear.
The case is constructed with two outer plates and a center case structure, made from a combination of Carbon TPT and Quartz TPT (Thin Ply Technology). These composite materials consist of alternating layers of silica fibers and colored resins, creating a lightweight, durable, and colorful finish. A similar layering process is used for the straps, though carbon fiber replaces silica in their construction. The watch comes with two strap options: a seamless elastic strap and an adjustable Velcro strap.
Powering the RM 67-02 is Richard Mille’s in-house Caliber CRMA7, an automatic movement engineered for precision and durability. Its baseplate and bridges are crafted from grade 5 titanium, ensuring both strength and reduced weight. The rotor, made from pierced Carbon TPT, further minimizes weight, while its white gold rim enhances winding efficiency. Measuring just 3.6mm thick, the movement delivers a 50-hour power reserve, embodying Richard Mille’s expertise in ultra-thin, high-performance watchmaking.
Each RM 67-02 is designed to be worn in competition by the athletes it was created for, featuring colorways inspired by their national flags.
