The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019) is an adventure-comedy movie that follows Zak, a man with down syndrome who escapes from a nursing home to chase his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. The movies follows his journey through the American South to find his pro wrestling hero “The Salt Water Redneck.” On his journey he meets Tyler, an outlaw running away from his own troubles, who then becomes Zak’s travel companion. This meeting between the two starts an unlikely friendship between the two, and they help each other chase their dreams.
The film is pretty lighthearted, and features performances by Zack Gottsagen as Zak, Shia LaBeouf as Tyler, and Dakota Johnson co-starring as Eleanor, a kind-hearted nurse that was sent to bring Zak back to the nursing home.
The movie is a really good feel good type of movie and is entertaining right from the start.
